I honestly don't really get why they're so shocked. Like yeah, men like big tits, big deal. They're even trying to dogpile on straight people as if the group of people who represent the vast majority and actually have proclivity towards fulfilling their biological function are somehow the abnormal ones. They should count themselves lucky that they haven't seen Ägir's maid skin. Or any other Azur Lane skin, for that matter.

It's quite sad that people are in uproar about this. I always thought that 'tourists' was a bit of a harsh term for casual fans but now I'm seeing that there really are a lot of people who put zero effort into knowing what Azur Lane is or what it's like, and only flock to this post just to mock it and try to look 'morally superior'.

Why can't people just be more open minded and live and let live? It's a little silly to be downcast over something so silly but it just really goes to show that even with fanservice that is harmless and just made to entertain its target audience, there will always be hating for the sake of hating.

    :(

And I though "global" tourist who see in AL (or other games) get mentally stupid when it comes to "lolis", now they went to forking on big-boing boing girls now.

I rather ignore them all lol, it's hard to please people who don't understand a man's greatest, innermost desires that reality cannot offer.

And they are the guys who unironically use "safe horny". That is pretty much everything contrary to what straight men like. If the straight men like something, those ppl will do everything to sterilize it, which is how western gaming became that bland unappealing gruel.

That’s a little harsh imo. Western and eastern gaming simply have different art styles and preferences, it’s always been like that.

While it’s not to the level of a global conspiracy like some doomspeakers are saying, I do notice a lot of vitriol against the mere existence of straight people online nowadays. Sure, they are still the majority, so a lot of people consider it somewhat ‘safe’ to dunk on them, but it doesn’t consider the many vulnurable people who could be affected negatively even by ‘just words’. And in general it just seems like a great hypocrisy.

I’m not even straight; I have no stake in defending this. It’s just sad that there are people who would seek to make a buzz out of a literal nothing-problem. Just awful. :(

I think it's just selection bias and the nature of social media. I wouldn't take the comments, especially the angry ones, as representative of the population as a whole. Idiots like being loud, and throwing a hissy fit online to rake in the likes from the idiocracy circle-jerk is the only validation they'll get in life.

No, modern western gaming has been infected by people pushing a woke agenda. Look at what happened to Skullgirls. A western made game specifically inspired by Japanese media that was funded at least in part for its fan-service; 10 years after release censored (poorly) by a dev team that wrestled the game from the creator's hands.

Just do any basic level of research into the kind of localization censorship a lot of eastern made media has been getting in the last decade. Most people actually playing these games don't appreciate the changes they're getting, so it's not actually about a difference in preference or sensibility. The changes are always to push a message that only the NPCs not actually consuming the media care about. Western games aren't safe from this pandering, either.

If there was genuinely a distinct difference in preferences between east and west, anime wouldn't be dominating the market while comics are struggling just to be relevant. Pretending there isn't a problem with the current landscape of western media doesn't make it not real.

I am pretty sure the reason why they are going so hard on this skin in particular is because of the rigging. Her Swimsuit skin was way better received because she didn't move around just for the sake of jiggling her tits. It's not really about her tits on its own, it is the way they are presented. And I share a similar opinion about this, it is not about the size or lewdness about it, it's that it is trying too hard to the point is just feels clumsy and stupid. It would have been much better received had she moved normally.

And there is no way you dress like that without being a mega pervert! She knows what she's doing, and I don't buy it for a second she doesn't know what she's doing, but she act like she doesn't. I love me some mega mommy milkers too, but this is just... no.

I do agree that the skin feels contrived for fanservice purposes, but then again that's pretty much the case for every AL skin. Personally not a big fan of comically oversized mommy milkers but I don't really see why we should make a big deal of it. If people really were mad about it looking bad the outrage would have been localized within the community, which it clearly isn't.

Don't know why people are downvoting you. There genuinely is a global conspiracy pushing a woke agenda, its called the ESG score and BlackRock. It's not even a theory anymore, the info is publically available. That said, Eastern games do have an audience in the West and it's atrocious to see them censored. Also, Western games are getting so woke that they're not even appeasing the so called Western audience, like with how they keep butchering Western female protagonists like Lara Croft, Aloy, and the PC of Fable reboot im the trailer. It's to the point that Eastern media is getting more popular, like K-dramas, anime, and manga.

A game-series like Horizon, which sold over 20 million copies with just two games and is thus one of Sony's most successful new IPs, is "not even appeasing the so called Western audience"?

There is a time for fanservice oder very sexy characters. But this is not all the time.

Weird rigging aside, Gatcha games is precisely the sort of games you would expect developers to have non-stop over the top fanservice. The whole business model is to entice you to gamble for your digital waifu/husbando. It'd be totally out of place in a normal story-driven game, but not in Gatchas.

Unfortunately Eastern media is not immune to ESG. In fact, I'd wager when the switch is flipped, Easterners will fall in line overnight. It's all top down propaganda in the end.

Someone mentioned this on Twitter, but if you oathed her, you can see her wearing the ring in the actual game skin. Same with Shinano. And now I'm wondering which other L2D skins have this little nugget of an easter egg.
