I think that if they are considered as dyzigotic twins and they had mated, there is a chance of 100% they would have twins too, so one child is missing.

While dizygotic twins do have an increased chance of having twins/passing on that ability, which is why you sometimes get family histories of twins, it's not guaranteed twins will have twins.

Unless Rin is programmed to that of course.
