I don't mind shipping, but when the two characters involved have barely any actual interactions or chemistry, it feels like picking up two barbie dolls and smashing them against each other. Granted, no Genshin ship can be worse in that regard than ScaraMona, I guess.

I totally get what you guys are saying, to the fandoms two individuals cant be just friends, of rivals or god forbid hateful towards one another, they got to be Fucking. Oh and the gay shippers are the worst, in their own little world every one in the game is super gay and everyone else is just wrong. Especially if their a straight shipper or just straight, and since I know what I just said is going to get this comment down voted in to oblivion I might as well drive it home. Amber and Eula are JUST FRIENDS, Jean and Lisa are JUST FRIENDS, Mona and Scara only met once they are not IN LOVE, Diluc and Kaeya are step brothers not LOVERS, Ningguang and Beidou are JUST FRIENDS and business partners, Chongyun and Xingqiu are JUST FRIENDS not butt Pirates, Yae and Ei are master, familiar, and friends not raging Lesbian's. I can keep going but this is already to long, and I just wanted to piss off the crazy shippers.

Anti-shippers are the biggest snowflakes in the fandom. People will ship anything they find cute. It's harmless fun the vast majority of the time. If you don't like the ship, just ignore it and go about your day. You didn't have to type up a whole paragraph to prove how mad you are.
Just because Mihoyo cannot openly acknowledge that some characters are gay for fear of the chinese government shutting them down doesn't mean they don't intend them to be. If all the hints that Ningguang/Beidou for example are a thing aren't enough for you, I don't know what more they can do...

I agree with most of what you said, but unfortunately a lot of people in the community don't treat it as "harmless fun". I don't mind shipping for the sake of shipping so long as people can actually be civil about it. However, I've run into many people (both in and out of Genshin fandoms) who will actually verbally attack you and everything you stand for if you disagree with their ship. I ran into a thread on a Keqing and Aether YouTube video where of course someone voiced how it was their favorite ship, and there's nothing wrong with that. But halfway through the thread, after someone mentioned the Ganyu and Keqing ship, it turned into a sociopolitical mudslinging contest about how homosexual people have been persecuted for decades and one person even said that you can't be prejudiced against straight people, heterophobia doesn't exist, etc. Anyway, I apologize for shoving myself into the conversation. I don't agree with everything the other person said, and I don't want to get into a debate over good or bad ships. But I really do wish that everyone had that simple mindset of letting you have opinions without shoving theirs down your throat.

You're pretty hypocritical with this comment and your initial comment, if you don't mind shippers and want to keep everything civil then why did you even post your initial comment? If you don't like the ship you don't even need to click on the post? And if youve had a bad experience in the past well you don't need to bring it here then, just keep those stuff to yourself. And stop treating every people who ships is the same as the toxic ones you've come across. For all we know you were the toxic one in here by starting all these.
