they use pokéyen it's not a real currency, but it's like the ¥ symbo with a P (I believe). Anyways 200 is more like 2.00 USD, otherwise you'd get a few thousand dollars everytime you beat a trainer.

dunno if they do it anymore in D/P/Pt/HG/SS, because I haven't imported any games since Emerald, but in Japanese they at least used to use straight Yen. just 円 instead of that fancy P= symbol
