One thing that has been bugging me for a while: If the Hourai Elixir freezes a person in a single state for all eternity wouldn't that also prevent them from forming new memories?

Probably it just locks them in one physical state, not mental. Either that or it regenerates the body indefinitely, like giving the recipient a controlled form of telomerase enzyme.
