Someone will have to confirm what their source is before we can use them as tags. At a glance I can't quite make out where they're getting the information. Or rather, how the order of names on the class list is supposed to match up with seating.

Yes, those are valid readings of the names. I suppose if the Japanese pick them up and really run with it we can just accept it, but until then... it'd suck to choose one and then a couple months from now find out we flipped two characters around and can't just alias.

Now, we know people watched the closed caption for ep 1 to get Eri (which seems locked in solid) and Akane. Did nobody in 2ch and elsewhere watch ep 2 cc'd and get Girl Who Sits Next to Yui's name? Even her given name should tell us enough. Well, assuming she's on the class list we see. That lit obviously isn't everyone in the class.

The logic used in the archived thread LQY linked looks solid. The scene cuts at the opening ceremony from episode 1 go in alphabetical order among the main characters (Akiyama -> Kotobuki -> Tainaka -> Hirasawa) which is pretty good circumstantial evidence of alphabetical seating.

Furthermore, Mio and Ritsu have aisle seats, giving a point of reference with respect to the class roll list. This gives us strong guesses as to the names. Getting Eri identified through the closed captions is simply confirmation that the earlier guess was correct.

Chick on the left looks like the one that apeared in the recent manga chapter but the names don't match. Then again I have a feeling the chick that apeared recently use to be student council president and #1 Mio fan before she graduated. This character that apeared also in collage aswell. But the 2 look so dang simular.
