A piece I did recently for the Miyazaki Spirit show at the Sketchpad Gallery in San Francisco.

i love all of Miyazaki's films deeply- but for whatever reason, Porco Rosso has always been one of my very favorites- something in the strange nuance of tone, setting and sense of humor- it's a warm, familiar place to visit that doesn't get enough love. The Hotel Adriano and the flying ace of the Adriatic live in a special place in my heart. Named after Gina's song from the beginning of the film :) (Smile)
