I haven't actually finished the game yet (about 75 hours in), but I will say that this is probably the biggest twist I've seen yet. Though personally I think that the plot and cutscenes are dreadful, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

It is just so hilarious that this is pretty much exactly how I expected this conversation to go, but I have to skip through a bunch of filler to get here. But oooookay….it’s gonna be like this forever, like I said.
I’ve been trying to avoid what people think until I play the game myself, but what little noise has managed to filter through has been negative. Which is surprising Who knows. I’ve ended up liking stuff other people don’t like. Well whatever enjoyment I’m going to get has taken a blow because of this.
But yeah. I have a Zelda blacklist for a reason. Don’t click on any Zelda picture no matter how weird or insane they are. It’s true, I didn’t realize this was Zelda. Checking the tags just to see what the heel I was looking at, obviously a mistake.

Don't get me wrong, I think the game is incredible. The cutscenes are just unusually bad. I recommend switching the language to Japanese to make them marginally more tolerable.
