The 1st three panel reminds me of 1 if Doraemon's tools,where the user can choose from a kit which contains a pair plane wings for flying,a pair of shoes that have tank wheels and a helmet for going underwater.

The wetting the bed thing is generally a "look how cute and childlike these characters are", which Colonel Aki, in spite of chibi-fying Patchu, doesn't seem to focus on cuteness with Patchu, instead going the route of "hikikomori".

I guess I am weird for thinking that the hikikomori route of Pache actually is really cute.

Yeah he generally plays up the Hiki-ness of Patchy as well of doing a few fanservice drawings of her non-chibied (very tame), and in one comic showing that she has bigger breasts than Sakuya.
