There was one thing i didn't fully understand, was that a flashback or something that just happened in the dungeon?

Personally, I think it shows how much Dongrang changed since joining the league. At first he was shown to care for animals out of kindness and empathy with no desire for anything in return (like wanting to farm chickens without harming them). But after everything that happened in the league, with him betraying his friends and joining K Corp, he lost all his former empathy he had for others. When he returned after all that and saw that the cow didn’t recognize him, he realized just how monstrous and terrible he had become and killed it to cement that fact to himself. And after we beat his distorted phase, he recalls killing that cow which reminds him of how he used to care for others but doesn’t anymore, so he resolves to kill the one person holding him back, being Yi Sang which is how he manifests his ego. Giving us a really damn amazing boss with a Mili song on top of it.
