She's a very lonely woman, and while forcing her minions to be obedient would certainly make them easier to handle, she doesn't need mindless slaves, she needs people to talk to.

Skeletons aren't legally allowed, by the rules of the all universes, to attack without making bad puns like "I have a bone to pick with you".

A song was made that deals with some of what these skeletons are going through. It is called I Love Bone.
