I was in Japan a few years ago on a holiday. At that time I didn't know what to do with my life. I was lost and aimless; I carried a broken heart for years; I was angry, bitter, hateful and held so many grudges. I felt as if my life was going nowhere, and I broke down and prayed. Over the next few months, I slowly began to read the Bible, and eventually I became a Christian.

I am forever thankful for the Lord Jesus Christ; for the joy I have in Him, for He is my blessed hope. My only hope. Even though I still have moments of fear, doubt, anxiety and uncertainty; even though my heart is still broken and I carry a lot of grief, I know that if I look to Him and His perfect finished atoning work on the cross for the forgiveness of my sins, I will persevere and be alright--and that by the power of the Holy Spirit. I pray that the Father calls me home soon, because to be with Jesus is more preferable than spending another day alone in this world.
