I wouldn't exactly call it honorable to club someone upside the head when you lost in a duel because your swordplay sucks. But hey, Goblin girl is okay in my book.

I highly doubt this is the last time the samurai will bother them though.

To be technically correct, the best kind of correct, she didn't lose because her swordplay sucks. She lost because her sword sucks. The traditional forging process for a katana leaves them infamously brittle IIRC, so it's no wonder it shattered going up against plate armor.

swords in general are ill-suited against plate, unless you go for weak points, like joints; using a club was a far better move

Yep, the tetsubo was the correct choice of weapon there. Shame the samurai lady had to make that error first to realize that.
