The only reason I like Valentine's day, Easter, and pretty much any candy giving holiday. Because the day after it's all on the cheap.
I've found a lot of big chain supermarkets, drive up their prices of such goods at least a month in advance, in small amounts, before selling on Valentines and then 'give discounts' when it ends, which ends up being actually only around 5% or nothing at all different compared to its original price a month prior. The other is when the discount is barely that big to begin with and ends up being pretty normal, put alongside their original season discounts.
