The world of Arknights is relatively modern, do you just think they have all this sophisticated technology but haven't invented cans? Did you perhaps notice the shoes she's wearing? Those look pretty modern, too.

That's what Arknights' aesthetic is. The mixing and contrast of the antiquated and the traditional with the modern and the contemporary. Everything in AK looks like this because that's the point.
