It was present, in a way, in Code Geass as well. Lelouch could cook better than Kallen, Shirley, or CC ever did.

It has been somehow established for some time now. In Tales of Symphonia 1 and 2, almost all female cast have strange culinary skill while the male is true genius chef.

Also as seen in Toradora (Though Minori could cook, she couldn't as well as Ryuji) and Tales of Symphonia.

Long story short, in a lot of series, the dream of a pretty girl making you a boxed lunch might just be a deathwish.

since she's out cold... she can't say no.
