Sounds like the artist is trying to rehabilitate Blonde Girl. All I can say is, she's got a long, long way to go. He simply made her too detestable when he introduced her.

I can see it happening, but only if she's so overcome with remorse that she can't be with her anymore and breaks off the friendship. Which will break Blind Girl's heart, and she'll be convinced it was something she did. Remember the first principle of this series: the Blind Girl never gets a break, nothing ever gets better.
