there was one theory afteer 1st season aired, that god is not haruhi but kyon, and haruhi is a projection of his inner desires)

My theory was always that Kyon had the powers, but all of Haruhi's shenanigans had him haxing subconsciously. This series just confuses things more :P

The first image of kyonko was just a picture of haruhi with a pony tail added, that's the joke alluded to here.
