You know what would be a good idea for a Pokemon game. A bunch of corporations sponsoring people to serve as a proxy war. Like, every company is trying to get their representatives to become the Pokemon champion and then you, the main character, come in to throw a monkey wrench into things by just wanting to have your fun adventure and inadvertently take down all the rivals that come your way, eventually getting said rival representatives to team up with you to fight the real big bad, who is some sort of Megacorp pulling the strings behind the scenes because their real goal is this legendary Pokemon that would basically let them be the strongest company uncontested.
