In episode 08 Shinji tries to pilot EVA02, Asuka's EVA. As Asuka is German you have to talk and think German to control it. The first word that comes to his mind is "Baumkuchen".

Hmm, funny. I remember it to be 'streudel'... i guess i have to rewatch them someday.
