The name comes from the item itself, which is the "Fierce Deity/Devil God" mask. Just makes Link one of the most overpowered versions of himself with sword beams and such.

Zelda and Rosalina are generally accepted to be pretty tall, and Daisy looks about the right height. The biggest problem seems to be Yuna's drawn way too tall. (Another explanation is Samus is the only one not wearing heels, since you can't tell with the dress and she wouldn't have as much experience in them as the others.)
