Fun fact: There was another race held at the Kyoto Race Course on Jan. 14, 2001; the day Stay Gold had his second G2 race victory, which saw Oriental Art win first place, with Ikze as her jockey. Oriental Art will later be known as the dam of DreJour and Orfevre, two of Stay Gold's most famous sires (and both Ikze horses to boot).
