They have a VW bus from like the 70s in an earlier picture. As well as fairly modern-looking skateboards. Fair to say it could be set basically any time in the past ~40 years.

And the nuns also appear in one of Popopoka's Blind Girl comic, which is set in modern world.
But i dont know if that is canon or not.
