Fun fact: Tom Cruise not only has a pilot's license, but he also owns a P-51, apparently inspired by his experience filming the first Top Gun. The P-51 used in Top Gun Maverick is the same P-51 Cruise owned.

IMO it still fits, as it is the artist's intention to be part of the series after all.
