They way her head is tilted. The way her eyes are narrowed. The thickness of her eyebrows/eyeliner. The shadow on the right side her face. The little black strip of hair right over her black pupils. The color of her sclera being close to her skin tone. The way her eyes have this faded quality to them.

It all kind of combined to make her right eye seem extremely warped, to the point where I had to do a quadruple-quintuple take to realize what I was looking at.

Did she have an eyepatch? Was her eye swollen and bent. Does she have a black eye. Is one of her eyes smaller and lower on her head? Is that an eye tattoo while her right eye is covered? Is that just her hair? Is one of her eyes bigger? Does one of her eyes have a weird shape?

Does she not have her eyes open, and those are just markings over he eyelids? For a a hundredth of a second I wondered if she even had eyes at all.

All of those thoughts ran through my head in about 2-3 seconds as I squinted and tilted my head at this drawing, trying to figure out what I was seeing.
