I rather like the doujins I read recently about how Meiling actually has some dragon blood, and is actually *letting* Marisa and Reimu in..and she let in Sakuya as well. She fought Flandre to a draw, too.
Of course, I do also love her being kinda pathetic, too. There is much humor to be had in that. :)
Though I think Sakuya goes a little overboard in the punishment sometimes. It's not like folks just walk in from the street. Marisa uses Master Sparks to swat away mosquitos, and Reimu is simply Hax.

Gensokyo.org. They're in the torrent for all the old archived doujins from the touhou wiki. Specifically, you want the Akatsuki Dou doujins "Scarlet Devil" and "Working at the SDM". "Scarlet Devil" is kind of the prelude to the later.
