Though there's a lot of ignorance, there's also a lot of non-ignorant reasons why things are the way they are: forum #221535 and forum #222987 point this out. The whole tagging system needs to be changed to be able to properly account for characters like Bridget, and no one has been able to think of an alternative that would work and be easy to implement.

The issue you're pointing to doesn't apply to this image. Yes, it's awkward to deal with how to tag art of a character that's been retconned, but this is a character who is canonically a girl, drawn as a girl, made after the establishment of the character being a girl. This is not an image of Bridget being drawn as a boy.
The Bridget tag currently says the following:
Current policy is to tag Bridget as male unless physical evidence in the image proves otherwise
Tags on this image include "breasts." Breasts are physical evidence of someone being a girl. I hope this is clear on its face and doesn't require further explanation. Tagging this image as a boy is not in line with present policy, and is fair to describe as willful ignorance.

Gynecomastia (and by proxy, "bustyboys") is a thing, you know. We even have a tag for that in manboobs.

Oh my god, are we still doing this? Bridget was not retconned. Literally the only thing that changed is how Bridget identifies. Someone changing their mind about a subject is not a retcon.

I apologize if it came off like I was arguing this. I really don't care how people want to interpret the writing of the character having changed between games. The only thing I'm focusing on is that (1) Bridget, from the game Guilty Gear Strive, is a girl, (2) the character in this picture is a girl, (3) the character in this picture is Bridget, from the game Guilty Gear Strive, therefore (1+2+3) the forum posts that were linked aren't talking about any relevant issue, and the post should be tagged as 1girl.

I'm inclined to agree in this case. The presence of obvious female breasts satisfies the "physical evidence" criteria in the bridget_(guilty_gear) wiki for tagging her as female. Notwithstanding some irrelevant BS about gynecomastia, I've yet to see any compelling reason at all for why the Bridget depicted in this particular post should be tagged differently than any other girl.
Is there any explanation for why a couple users seem so determined to keep changing the tags on this post to 1boy, etc., in spite of how the character is drawn, and even edit-warring over it after a moderator reverted the tags to female ones? Because at this point it looks like willful tag vandalism.
