I wonder are these muskets or rifles I know there were flintlock rifles as well
I think these are actually percussion cap firearms, I'm looking at the way the hammers are flattened and the ignition mechanism looks like it's designed for percussion caps. If that is the case I'm putting my money on these being muzzle-loading rifles, since the percussion cap became widespread about the same time as the minie ball made mass deployment of rifles militarily feasible.
