If you want to eat humans, an Amazon box would be the ideal form for a modern mimic to take. I'm still hoping to see an Amazon-box mimic which uses the smile in the Amazon logo as the mouth.
But the "bra crane game" mode is certainly an excellent mode for a mimic in this setting, where monsters live in relative peace alongside mundane humans, and it's preferable to take their money rather than their flesh.
(Though I do find myself imagining a mimic posing as an Amazon box on their own porch to prey upon porch pirates...)
