Over the past two days, I've spent about 12 hours split between the two versions, and I've ended up very disappointed the PS3 game. All the complaints you may have heard -- that it looks faded and blurry, and struggles through its framerate -- are true, and more significant than I've seen in any PS3/360 game in recent memory. The 360 version runs into occasional light framerate issues, but nothing that really affects the game. The PS3 version feels sluggish for the majority of the game -- at least, when put side-by-side with the 360 one.
off topic: bayonetta was originally for 360 only, so the porting team for the ps3 has some serious work to do just to get this on par with the original.

YEAH YOU'RE RIGHT BRO, YOU SHOULD MISS OUT ON PLAYING AN ENTIRE GAME YOU WANTED TO PLAY BECAUSE OF MINOR TECHNICAL INFERIORITIES TO A VERSION YOU CANNOT RUN

STELLAR DECISION MAKING
Minor? read the article I link and watch the video then tell me there minor. Heck the ps3 version flaws are so bad it knocked it from getting a perfect score in famistu. So those flaws are not MINOR TECHNICAL INFERIORITIES.
Or what go with your idea and support more janky ports for the sequels? No. Besides God of War III comes out on march and there are a ton of other great games that come in Bayonetta time slot so I'm fine.

oh dear i got a negative report for posting in all caps last time so i'm going to post in all lower case, i hope that makes you all happier.
if you think famitsu scores matter then i don't really know what to tell you. we're talking about the magazine that gave final fantasy 12 a perfect score here.
why don't you actually download and play the bayonetta demo and see if it's bad enough to ruin the game for you? all it takes is registering a japanese psn account, which there are tutorials for online. i don't know about you but i'd rather trust my own experiences of the game than someone else's.
either way, the comparison will never affect you because you cannot play the 360 version.

Already did and it's as bad as they say it is. Seroiusly, the game has to load when you pause it.

That doesn't matter, I know my my ps3 is better that so I shouldn't expect less, beside all of those flaws I mention effect gameplay. If you wanna pay $60 for a janky game then I'm not stopping you, I on the other hand will either get it used or when it cheapens down.

Um... don't you trust Famitsu? They gave the PS3 version a 38/40. That's hardly a janky mess. I played the demo on my PS3 a few hours ago and the technical things aren't bad enough to justify not buying the game. You're being a little ridiculous.

or I want my moneys worth. The fact that the technical flaws were enough to knock from the perfect 40/40 the 360 version got is pretty tell to me. And I never said I'm not buying the game, I'm just not going to buy it at $60
The game play is exactly the same to the naked eye, I've played both versions now ( Xbox and PS3 ). The only difference is the cinematics, and that was all Sega's fault.

yes because your more of an authority on gaming than the people who've played it earlier. I'm not going to argue about it anymore, the game came out yesterday, the reviews are already out and chances are you've heard to complaints about the ps3 version. Also not once did I say a wasn't going to get the game at all, I just I'm not paying $60 for it
i got the the PS3 JP version..the only prob with it is slow loading times and some frame rate slowdown during cutscenes. overall it's still awesome, already finished hard mode...non-top climax here we go.
Yeah and despite all that Microsoft sure is keeping quite that there's a sound glitch that's affected some 30,000 copies of the game where the sound completely shuts out the fight w/ Tormentia or however you spell that bosses name. Y no mention about that?
@ masterpurv yeah great point you see everyone attacking ps3's flaws (which they do have quite a few i must admit) you see no one pointing out flaws the xbox 360 as well.
