I can't understand how the artist decided what side the characters should have.

Given that the Wands suite represents the element of fire, and Swords represents air, why is Mokou in swords?

Given that the swords also pertain to Reason. I think that means the reasoning of Mokou why she became immortal or why she came to Gensokyo (To kill Kaguya)
