Well, fans do get Luffy "realistically" paired up with both Nami & Hancock...while the only "realistic" partner for Zoro was Tashigi...so this was probably done to even teh "pimpness factor" of both Captain and First-Mate.

They are in the same Island only for one reason... Zoro will use Perona's ability to grow up and became invincible!!!! (*__*)
