While this would have been pretty cool (and I'd love to see a more boyish Cure outfit on a girl, Chocolat wasn't enough), it went exactly as many people thought. Congratulations to Takumi being Black Pepper, and Amane will likely be Finale.
Isn't this the first season of Precure where an active male lead becomes a magic boy? Sort of like Tuxedo Mask. There's Prince Kanata, but he's not really a magic boy, since he always has magic and doesn't transform, plus he doesn't participate in the majority of episodes.

Well, there was Henri and his legitimate "Cure Infini" transformation, even though he was more of a cheerleader than a fighter. Kinda like Takumi is (rather predictably) likely to become, now that the most recent episode made a point of pushing him aside so Amane can do everything he would normally do.
