They do look quite similar, but that's not Maka Albarn from Soul Eater. There are side-bangs (which Maka does not have) and the uniform and scythe is distinctively different in design.
They look generally the same i.e mini-skirt pig-tails and of course the scythe. If the face had Maka's eyes it would be even more prominent of this infringement on terms of what is original. I vote this for being unoriginal..as if anything original has been manifested through the aesthetic of the artists who mostly copy their predecessors. Now if you'll excuse me I am going to sketch this for research and practice to be a better artist.
