She was also really happy Luke had survived. She poured her feelings of relief and concern into that kiss. When characters do things in Star Wars, it's often a great symphony of emotions.

Probably. "There is another" was from ESB. Luke and Leia being the same age was also established in ANH. And the truth about the Skywalkers was something the writers had decided would be the driving force behind the personal drama of the saga.
Also, the rivalry between Luke and Han centered on Leia in the end and it wouldn't be nice to leave Han with nothing.
