Chalk it up to artistic error then, because that's definitely a 10,000 yen bill. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:10000_yen_note.JPG The 1000 yen bill is blue, while the 10,000 yen bill, like this, is gold/tan. It also looks like it's just a single bill that's been folded in half twice.
