Always wanted to make a mecha retelling of their story, but here's Trưng Trắc(left) and Trưng Nhị(right). their machines are inspired by Lạc Long Quân and Âu Cơ who are said to be the father and mother of the viet people. Working on a storyboard/animatic rn. ✌️😎

Their outfits are honestly just an áo dài over a form fitting pilot suit and the pauldron/cape is loosely inspired by some anciet vietnamese royalty stuff i found while researching

Lạc Long Quân was said to be the dragon lord of the ocean with the power to shapeshift and Âu Cơ was a mountain fairy. They fell in love and had 100 children. At some point Lạc Long Quân got homesick so he and Âu Cơ decided to split the children, each taking 50 with them

As for the Trung Sisters, they are Generals from 40AD who repelled the Han chinese from Vietnamese land and kept them out for 3 years.
