Tsuchinoko don't have limbs though do they? That thing has four legs.

The commentary calls it オオサンショウウオ (oosanshou uo), a Japanese giant salamander. Also, the fins on its tail are suggestive of an amphibian rather than a snake.

According to wikipedia,, they can grow to 1.5 m / 5 ft long. Which surprisingly means it's size relative to Marissa is true to life
