I thought we had collectively decided to forget about the canon fan fiction that is SCV, but hey, she’s cute and one of the better of the dollar store knockoff characters.
Her and clearance sale Xianghua were pretty cute. The rest can go…though Pat had a cool fighting style.

Ahhh that game ain't all bad. I feel like if companies want to do the "new generation" thing, they gotta give us a reason to like them before hand and while personally I like some of them, they could've done a better job at characterizing them to make them less... one dimensional I guess.

SCV was just laziness incarnate. Sc4 felt barebones, 5 didn’t even try. The new characters hardly show up in the short story mode that is only still images.
They gave us no reason to care about the characters because they didn’t seem to care much about the game.

This is what I mean. Companies really need to put effort into there characters... character. Or at least use them. Though this game's devolvement was rough as hell; they had to leave so many things off the table because of this and that, but that doesn't excuse poor characterization

You’re right, no, they had no excuse at all. Especially since the first few games tales of souls was largely text. It’s not hard to type up some scenes.

It's not like project soul wanted to leave scv like that but bandai forced them to release early as well as cutting their budget.
Personally I like v because it’s the only one I’ve played though I remember people not liking that one too much until the next one came out. But yeah I didn't play it for the story obviously
