How on earth does anyone think this is Japanese Clothing ? For the record, fashions from the European Mediaeval to Renaissance to 19th century to 1930s school gymslips are *not* claimed by the Japanese as part of their heritage.
The same goes for Victorian maids' uniforms and Gothic Lolita...
