And here I thought people loved NTR...

Jokes aside, it's worrying, because we know there are people that can't differentiate fantasy from reality.
People who forget Rushia is an avatar, somewhat of a character being performed in a show.
People who would do harm for said betrayal.

We do see it happening to actresses and voice-actresses...

Did he do that in private and it was leaked or was it out in the opening on her discord? If it was just out in the opening, seems a pretty dickish move to do even as a joke. If not, otherwise its just a private thing, even if it got leaked, isn’t really something most normal people who separate the avatar and the person should care about. Of course this will be fuel for people to go after her but that’s on par for stuff like this anyway. Most of those idiots still haven’t shut up about Matsuri yet.

It was private but she accidentally let discord show on stream, which is how anyone even saw it

Yeah, i just found it by searching for more info. So its just the usual bullshit of idiots screaming their brains out and more idiots egging it on. Whatever, it has no effect on none psychos and although it might cause some trouble to Rushia since those will scream the loudest, it’s just whatever.

Although, this will probably prompt, assuming, Cover to take steps that this stuff don’t happen anymore since stuff like this happens too often. Not a fan of intrusion on personal and work life, but I wouldn’t be surprise if they have their manager to double check and take control of their discord, or just ask the girls to not have it open during stream.

Bro, I see this shit happen on a weekly basis. In fact, last weeks meltdown was with Calli It becomes boring and stupid, drama for the sake of drama. And while it will always be used as ammo against her, the moment the next shit happen people will jump to that once it becames better drama.

Although yes, the worrying thing is that she’s on the JP side so it wouldn’t be unexpected if some actual crazy asshole actually try to go after her so it is a worry for that.

I should also add that it’s worrying for the other guy too since he’ll probably get a lot of flank from, even if not the idiots going after her, those who will think they’re doing the right thing and trying to “help” Rushia. That’s the worse part since even if it’s genuinely coming from the right place, it’ll make everything all the more worse.

    It’s all so fucking stupid.

Just go back from Facebook and Twitter, apparently, there was already a rumour they were going out since 2018... Well, Rushia is an eye candy IRL, it's not strange if she is going out with someone, especially with someone as beautiful as her

Oh fudge, you're right. That really is even worse cause the only thing crazier than male fans are crazy female fans cause while the dumb male ones might attempt to do something stupid but usually chicken out cause in the end they're pussies, the dumb female ones can and will go that far, maybe even further, cause they actually have the balls to do it and even harder to reason with. Hell have no fury like a frothing fangirl on the war path.

Getting really bad BTS and Nijisanji vibes now. I'm pretty sure that girl is still getting flamed to this day after what happened with the two favorites among the fandom.

This kind of thing was one of the things I was wary of starting out with Hololive knowing how some idol fans can be. I personally feel if Rushia wants to be in a relationship with anyone be it romantic or platonic that is her life and her choice. Sad that there are those in idol fandoms that are this way causing the girls to have to hide their irl lives and loved ones.

On a similar note was there something going on with Calli recently? I saw a few recommendations appear on Youtube talking about some kind of drama around her but I never watched any of them. Already quite burnt out on all the clickbait over exaggerated drama videos.

People got pissed over her being friends with Connor after he made a faux pas by insinuating that hololive members have it easy (which he apologized for poor phrasing, he was actually just saying how working for a big group gives a huge advantage). Calli ended up getting some pretty rude superchats from people about it and ended up declaring that she will not read superchats that antagonize other content creators, and would even give the money from said superchats to those very content creators they're bashing.

Yes, we should worry more about the female jp fanbase of Mafumafu

This is a really good example.

They have lives, i think that they should have those type of personal things in a separate phone or even pc

Just to be sure that it will not cause any problem, i'm really proud of my boy tho, Mafu is my favorite utaite and this just made me really happy, lol.

What upset me more its the fact this will probably take a little toll on both Rushia and MafuMafu too from the way this is getting.
    It’s all so fucking stupid.

Also count he has a larger fanbase too ... in a similar fashion as Rushia and amost threat in the same way too (basically he is technically a "male idol" too akin to Holostars to put it more closely on importance level). SO you don't only had the usual idiots from one side but you also has the ones from the other side too from what i could notice from this. Its another situation like Towa's one, just in another level.

Both sides of the fanbase should realize what big pieces of shit they'd be for trying to do any harm to the two of them, Do you REALLY think your previous idol would like you harassing or trying to do ANY harm to a friend of theirs out of your own pathetic jealousy?, No, that'd make them HATE you.

Even if it saddens you or depresses you that you're not "The One" that gets to go out with your precious idol, if you were a true fan, you'd want them to be happy, you'd want them to live the life THEY want, the second you turn your back on them for "betraying" your asanine expectations, is the second you reveal you were never a true fan, you were just objectifying them, thinking they belonged to you.

Both sides need to chill the fuck out, realize how absolutely pathetic they're being, and grow up, Neither of them deserve to get hated on simply for being friends, Mafu even came out and said they're just friends, Nothing more, and while yes that could just be a cover, who really cares?, It's not any of the "fans" business if their precious idols have a life outside their idol career's or not, A Guy/Girl having a friend of the opposite sex doesn't automatically mean they're dating, Jesus Christ these obsessive creeps....

Idol culture is truly toxic and dangerous....

She also mentioned "Lean" hitting her pretty roughly, and had several people SCing her about her alcoholism, which she both backpaddled on, since her stich is using slang wrong, and told the deadbeats to not police her life.

Not to excuse the toxic fans, but it also doesn't sit right with me that everyone seems to ignore that the industry is as much, if not even more to blame when these things happen.
Idol industry's gachikois aren't bugs, they're features. The industry wants gachikoi fans because they're long time whales who knowingly allow themselves to be exploited. Like the time AKB force its fans to buy dozens of copies of the same CDs in exchange for a few more seconds at the handshaking events and has only backpedaled and make their idols come out to discourage such buying only when mainstream news started to catch up.
What the toxic fans did aren't excusable, but I don't think people should ever forget that a lot of the time these fans were deliberately raised by the industry to be their personal livestocks by exactly exploiting on the powerlessness and feeling of unloved which in turn, is constantly perpetuated under the equally toxic Japanese work culture.

Note that I'm also not saying we should be pitchforking COVER either, just saying if people actually want change to the toxic idol culture, ranting about the faceless individuals is ultimately pointless.

Made an account just to reply. Stuff has just been way too crazy lately.

Yes, it's a vicious cycle. Japan's work culture creates lonely whales, the demand and supply does it's job and companies exploit the lonely men, which causes them to become even more lonely. Really, in the idol industry, everyone except the people running the show are hurt. The idols, some of whom have been led to believe idol work was a dream come true, are exploited. The whales who need mental help are exploited. And most importantly, the problems of Japanese society are exploited by people for profit. They're selling a lie that the idols believe and find out the "dream" was to be a soulless, plastic money making machine, and the vulnerable (though that doesn't excuse their actions) men willingly believe the lie until they delude themselves into believing it to be real. The idols' normal lives are screwed, and the gachikois are hooked like a drug. It's sickening, and it's one of the times I'll say that Japan can take some notes from the west. Especially in the case of their culture around public figures. Americans might look too invested in Hollywood, but they're nothing compared to gachikois.

This is overall reason why the 1997 Japanese animated movie "Perfect Blue" become very relevant till this day which reflects the current state of the Japanese idol and even voice-acting industry.

Edit: The previous Callie drama and current Rushia drama are overall stupid and idiotic, blowing way out of proportions. And the raging, brainless fans making vitriol threats towards the idols who have normal daily lives like everyone else needs to calm down, shut up, get off of social media/net (mostly Twitter), and finally move on.
