Google Kayano Ai Shrine incident. Basically, a Japanese VA visited a shrine that's (not many people) known for revering war criminals (especially important to Chinese people) and posted it on social media that she 'feels calm' there. Chinese are quick to respond and pulled that VA's lines from the games that had her. This includes Arknights' Platinum, which was now voiced by a new VA.
Said cancelled VA was ALSO voicing AL Kaga, sooo...
I honestly don't know how to feel. I like Kayano Ai but I understand and kinda feel bad for the Chinese people would be reasonable about war criminals being glorified like that and the Japanese government not doing anything about it
Yasakuni Shrine is pretty much a precarious place, then again we have our own precarious place called "Libingan ng mga Bayani" its all fun and games till a soldier dictator ousted president gets interned in a cemetery for soldiers

You can say that, but mention all the crimes against humanity the Great Leader has committed during his reign, point that they built a whole fucking theme park around his body and see if the Chinese gonna accept that with a smile.
Yasukuni Temple is a place where all people that died protecting/in service of Japan was commemorated. You can argue what you wanted about that place hosting war criminals, but can't you just say the same thing about ANY war graves from the point of view of the ones that gets invaded?

Bought the skin with no delusions that it would be voiced. Wish the whole shrine thing didn’t happen partially because of the message it sends and partially because I got into this game to get Kaga (she checks all my boxes, man).
I was just looking for this art, wasn't expecting to find out about the VA controversy, quite complicated situation indeed. I guess this skin may not get new voice lines in the future. I'm buying it anyways because I'm a kaga simp.
