If we don't count all the cakes that we cant see on the picture, two cakes with that many candles are not enough.

Even if Yukari is 1400+ years old she stills look like a young lady. And thats what counts.

What are you people saying?! You really think she is that young? She's already 20!

To be honest she looks to be in her mid twenties, or whatever the prime of womanhood is. And many ACTUAL women in their mid-late twenties don't look as good as Yukari does.

In short she has the appearence of youth and the mind of a devious older lady; a winning combination.

By this point... I would just put one candle per century rather then one per year.

they probly don't do this many that often, but I have the feeling Ran was feeling particularly cruel and wanted to rub her real age in for some reason.

Where I live, the custom is to only put one candle on the cake after you turn 25.

This is cruel. Why can't they just give Yukari one cake with 17 candles in it? Then they could think that 1 candle symbolize 100 years! 1000 candles in a cake is just overdoing it you know. Think about the wax that fell on the cake! *gapped*

That meme is way older, actually. They just perfected it by having Kikuko Inoue speak that line. (Kikuko Inoue herself has founded a "club" of eternal 17 years olds. Yukari Tamura is a "member" too.)
