Looks like it.

Unlike Terraria, though, pouring water onto a vat of lava isn't going to just make the lava quietly turn into a chunk of obsidian (or, for these puzzles to work, just disappear entirely), but instead causes a massive explosion of steam that would burst through those walls, anyway.
