Nah. What likely happened in this sequence of events is Vava's consciousness was transferred to a server of sorts upon his death in Sigma's tower in X1. There, he was stored until his second body was finished. My guess is he's picking through the wreckage and just happened to find his old body, and is reflecting on the past.
According to the artist, this was Vile checking out Sigma's destroyed fortress, and finding his old broken body, pondering where the hell he may have gone wrong in the fight against X.
