Umm, first let's introduce "riichi".
Riichi doesn't have to do with special combinations; if you're menzen and tenpai, you can declare riichi, and it's a yaku worth 1 han.
You just need to be menzen and tenpai, and it can combine with any yaku.
You cannot declare riichi at any point after fuuro or if, despite being menzen and tenpai, there aren't enough tiles left for you to draw next turn.
Also, if you declare riichi on the first turn, it becomes "double riichi".
For both riichi and double riichi, you turn the tile you discard on the turn you declared it sideways and put a 1000 point stick in the middle.Tenpai by discarding 9-pin or 6-pinPut down a 1000 point stickNyahahahaha
