yeah I'm aware commander isn't a ship. I ignored that in favor of the image. essex is a carrier, surely she can bring you along no problem
this piece was way more work than I initially expected, and I already knew it was gonna be a lot. actual background alongside mechanical riggings. ton of lines and surfaces, but I guess that's good since I don't draw stuff like this super frequently. probably the highest effort piece for me from this year, basically 2 weeks to finish

as it currently stands, essex might be my second fav azur girl, been meaning to draw her for a while now. hope I was able to do her justice

a little unsure what's coming up immediately with regards to drawing, but I do plan to do something bigger for new years with helena. dunno how long to expect that to take
