I don't follow discussions or anything like that, so I'm not sure if there's an unwritten rule about this or something, but I'm going off of the Terms of Service here.
"Non-anime: Photographs of American porn actresses, for example, are prohibited. Photographs of cosplayers, figures, or prominent figures in the industry are acceptable."
Hmm. I was going to try and find her name for you folks, but all I seem to have been able to come up with were a few other shots of her. (this one is arguably the best of the three, I think..so perhaps its not that big of a loss..especially if it ends up getting deleted anyway?)
I personally don't see anything terribly wrong with having some nicely done cosplay shots here in addition to the illustrations.
One of the cuter cosplayers I've seen posted here, but the unfortunate reality is this: the calibre of her costume's construction and execution; the pose, scene, and lighting; the simple resolution and quality of the image are not of the level that it will be accepted here without significant resistance.
We do try to make it very clear that Danbooru is an art site and I, for one, appreciate that you seem to have at least picked up on that. However, we are also focused very heavily on anime and anime-style art. As unfair as it perhaps is, this naturally leads to a bias against any cosplay photos that are not of impeccable quality.
In so saying, I will not vote it down, but neither can I be counted as a supporter of it. In any event, please don't be too discouraged; everyone makes mistakes.
Yeah, though I said that, I'm not really supporting this picture in particular. Lighting sucks. She's washed out. I'm sure I would've loved it at the con though.
