Okay, I guess there's no need to bump for translation again since this series follows a formula (see parent).

1. Tanabata is imminent, yet all the potted bamboo has been stolen.
2. Class Rep orders the boys to substitute as bamboo trees in order to preserve the spirit of the holiday. In so demonstrating, she instigates an episode of panchira, thus quelling all dissent.
3. Miki offers to to let Kouji garb her in tanzaku contrary to the newly established gender role, in yet another attempt to set up a sexual opportunity with the object of her affection.
4. Comedy ensues.

There. I just blanched all the humor right out of it. I have been known on occasion to use my powers for evil.

And so the mysterious bamboo harvester escaped to reap again!
