They are cracking down on both idol culture and the feminization of men (especially male models) as ways to boost their ailing population dynamics.

I can only imagine this having ripple effects across games and other chinese media due to the absolute control the state has over media consumption.

As far as sources, any China-watching news source will cover it.

Well, those 'Ban' has been declared by media many times in the past few year, still we haven't received any formal statement from the goverment.

Seems like it has nothing to do with ACG now, but we don't know wat would come next.
